DJ Jeffries, who is considered by many to be one of the best prospects in in the Class of 2018, and the best in the state of Mississippi has de-committed from Kentucky. The first team to reach out to him? The Dawgs. And it was met with great success. Jeffries has confirmed that he will be taking an official visit on the weekend of September 29th. The same September 29th that the old ball coach will be returning. If there is any weekend for any prospect to join us, this weekend will show him an unrivaled atmosphere.
DJ Jeffries, a 4 star prospect, is ranked 37th in the class, and is heavily being recruited by Memphis. During his junior year, he averaged 20.8 points a game, leading his school to a 5A State Championship. The 6’7″ Small Forward is currently at Olive Branch High School, which recently produced several Dawgs on the gridiron. Former football Quistor greats include KJ Wright and incoming freshman Fabian Lovett and Jaylon Reed. With all the good news and hype around the program, this might be the cherry on top for a fun, late September weekend.
